Images Folder

Before moving on, you need to get your pictures checked for quality and type. Have your images folder open, and set it to view by Details. Then click on the Name column header to sort your files alphabetically. 

Go to Sort by ... and Choose Columns...

In the window that opens up, scroll down to find Dimensions, check the box and say OK.

First get the teacher to check off they types of pictures, names and quality. If they're all good, then continue, resizing the ones indicated below...

Click on the Size column heading to sort biggest to smallest. You need to resize any of them that are > 200 KB, you will need to resize them. 

Right-click on any pictures that need to be resized and Open With... >> Paint

First click on the Resize button... and set to see Pixels...

• If it's a Vertical picture, select what's in the Horizontal box and change to: 250
• If it's a Horizontal picture, select what's in the Horizontal box and change to: 500

Click on the Save button and close Paint.

Note: if any of your pictures are still bigger than 200kb, but you've resized them to their minimum widths (500px  for Horizontal and 250px for Vertical), then it's OK. Some pictures are just better file quality.

Get your picture files and folder checked before adding them to the webpage. If they're not the right type or poor quality, you'll have to find replacements.
